Stay tuned for regular progress updates on the construction of our new state-of-the-art Head Office facility in Melbourne.
Work continuing at pace
28 March 2022
It’s been a busy couple of month’s with work continuing at pace on the second stage of our build. This includes the final section of the new twice-the-size warehouse going up as seen in the timelapse footage above. In addition the photo above shows the work that has also now commenced on constructing the very front of the building which will house a large and modern office suite along with other facilities such as a dedicated regional training school. We are currently on target for work to complete in late 2022.
Working towards carbon neutral
2 February 2022
Delivering ‘more compressed air for less energy’ is at the heart of everything we do at Kaeser Compressors. It’s part of our commitment to ensure minimum possible environmental impact. However, for us this objective goes beyond developing products that operate efficiently and in an environmentally-friendly manner. It also means consuming as few natural resources as possible throughout the production, sales and service processes.
It’s no surprise then that this has been a key consideration from the outset in building our new state-of-the-art facility in Dandenong. In working towards becoming carbon neutral, 98 kW solar panels were installed on the roof of stage 1 of the build. Up and running for a few months now, our recent electricity bill has proven our success so far - demonstrating a 90% drop in our daily energy usage from the grid!
Work is now continuing at pace on the second stage of our build. Once completed the final solar panels will be installed, further assisting us in our goal to operate a carbon neutral facility.
Making way for the future
26 November 2021
Stage two of the construction of our new state-of-the-art head office facility in Melbourne is now well and truly underway! Demolition of the existing factory commenced and concluded just a few weeks ago. This makes room for the construction of a large and modern office suite along with other facilities such as a dedicated regional training school.
Much consideration has been given to the environment in every stage of planning and building our new facility - even what happens to the old building! We’re pleased to say that over 98% of the materials that made up the old factory will have a new life, being recycled and reused. This includes all of the concrete and steel from the old factory. Here the concrete will be reused in road works, while the steel will be reused in steel manufacture and fabrication.
'The Gap' 1990 - 2021
9 September 2021
We are now just over 1 metre away from starting stage 2 of construction!
With move-in to the new warehouse now almost complete, demolition of the old building is due to commence any day now. 'The gap' between our new and old building is just over 1 metre - or considered another way 32 years!
Constructed in 1989, we moved into this building in 1990 when Kaeser Compressors Australia was first established. 32 years later and we're looking forward to revealing our new state-of-the-art and more than double the size facility, that will allow us to continue to serve our customers Australia-wide well into the future.
Warehouse move-in begins
27 August 2021
Despite on-going COVID-19 disruptions, the construction of our new facility has continued at pace over the past couple of months. We received our occupancy certificate for the new warehouse in August, and we are now busy kitting it out with new shelving and state-of-the-art Kardex shuttle systems. Our temporary offices are now also ready. The move-in has therefore begun (moving our stock from the old warehouse and into the new one). We currently estimate that this will take 4 weeks, and rest assured it will be business as usual throughout.
Once the warehouse move-in is complete, stage 2 of our build begins with the demolition of the old building. This will make way for our new modern offices which will be twice the size of our existing offices.
Warehouse interior almost ready
15 June 2021
With the exterior of the warehouse now complete, work has been fast progressing on the interior. Not long now until the new warehouse will be up and running, then work will commence on demolishing the old building to make way for a new modern office space.
Warehouse nears completion
16 April 2021
The first phase of construction is almost now complete. As you can see from these photos, our new warehouse will be significantly larger, making room for even more stock to be held locally in Australia.
The roof is up!
5 March 2021
We've made some good progress on the build of our new facility over the past few weeks and the framework is now complete for the new warehouse. Our new warehouse will be more than double the size of our existing one, making room for us to hold even more stock in Australia!

We are delighted to announce that the construction of our new state-of-the-art Head Office facility in Melbourne has started! After a number of COVID-19 related set backs, ground was broken on the new build today.
This will see a total transformation of our current head office – both modernising and extending our facilities out to twice its size, allowing for additional office and warehouse space.
And so the work begins....
